Ultranourishing Green Smoothie
If you're suffering from sicknesses and need to pile in the nutrients to heal, you need to pack more green leafy veg in than you can eat in a day (realistically). Smoothies are a great way to consume loads with a fairly sweet taste.
Equipment
- Blender
Ingredients
- 300 g spinach/chard/collard greens/kale
- 1 apple (cored and roughly chopped)
- 1.5 tbsp chia
- 0.5 tbsp flax seed
- 300 ml water or coconut water
Instructions
- Put it all in a blender for 1-2 mins until as smooth as you want it. Add more water if you want it thinner.
Notes
Prep Tips:
In the summer feel free to replace some of the water with ice cubes.
If your blender is struggling, try adding some more water.
Health Tips:
This is the easiest way to make sure that you are super dosing yourself with nutrients to help your body heal.
Eco Tips:
Use whichever greens are in season, and try to get it locally and out of packaging where possible as the packaging is not normally recyclable.
