Climate Fresk Workshops

Discover Fun, Collaborative Climate Learning

Are you curious about how and why climate change is happening? Want to learn in a way that’s interactive and engaging—no boring lectures or slides? Climate Fresk workshops are the perfect way to understand the science, connect with others, and feel inspired to take action.

What is Climate Fresk?

Okay, we admit it—the name sounds a bit odd! The word “Fresk” comes from the French word “fresque,” meaning a collage or mural. Think of it as a collaborative masterpiece where everyone contributes to understanding the big picture of climate change. Fun, right?

The Climate Fresk is an interactive, team-based workshop designed to make climate science accessible, engaging, and impactful. Based on the latest IPCC reports, it breaks down the complexities of climate change into a collaborative activity that’s engaging, thought-provoking, and empowering.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Climate Fresk for?

Anyone! Whether you’re new to climate topics or already well-informed, Climate Fresk offers something for everyone.  The main fresk is ideal for ages 13 and up.  There’s a simplified child version too.

What do I need to host a workshop?

Just a space, a group of participants, and tables.  I’ll bring the rest!  Materials and facilitation are included.

Can I come if I don't know anyone?

Absolutely!  Most fresks are done with people who did not know each other at the start.  You might even make some new like minded friends 🙂

How long is a workshop?

Workshops typically last 3 hours, but timing can be increased for more time discussing actions if required.  It sounds like a long time but it goes really fast!

Is it suitable for children or schools?

Yes! There is a simplified version for children under 13 years,  making climate science accessible and engaging for all but the very young.  Under 8 years old may struggle to keep attention in a group with older participants.

Is it doable with a disability?

The workshop is typically done standing, but chairs can be provided if needed. However, as the activity is fast-paced and relies on discussions, it may be challenging for those with difficulties speaking, hearing, or seeing.
